We are a completely independent firm of Chartered Surveyors specialising in a broad range of surveys and valuations mainly of residential properties. We are not involved either in the selling or management of properties. John English has been surveying and valuing properties in the Hull - York area since about 1980 and the Practice was set up in 1997.

We act on behalf of local lending Institutions including Beverley Building Society as well as national lending Institutions such as the Bradford and Bingley Plc. and Barclays Bank. We also carry out work for many of the local firms of Estate Agents and Surveyors.

All work is backed by Professional Indemnity through an RICS approved underwriter in the sum of £1,000,000. We will be pleased to provide interested parties with a copy of the Schedule.

We are approved Energy Rating Surveyors having passed the required training and are authorised to offer Ratings to the general public.

We act on behalf of builders and developers seeking to purchase residential buildings / land invariably by Tender or Auction. Detailed appraisals are prepared based on sound knowledge of the local market.
